The value of a typical detached house in Sydney is expected to rise by another $120,000 by the middle of this year (2021) if the price gains of the December quarter repeat in the first half of this year.
Domain Group figures show, Sydney’s median house price jumped by $55,000 or 4.8% during the last 3 months of 2020.

What’s Happening to Rents?

The recent Domain Report found the median asking rent for units have dropped 4.8% to $495 per week. Rents were holding steady on the middle and outer regions of Sydney. House rents however have shown a small increase of $10 per week to a median of $540 .
